Alandaluz is located on the pacific coast, near Machalilla National Park. This area is of special significance as it was here that some of the first human settlements in Ecuador were built. The predominant culture was Manteña, which flourished the formation period, around 1.500 a.C. but the archeological remains found in the area go much further back, more than 8,000 years...
